As a white noise machine, this device functions perfectly. The sound is exactly what you would want and expect from a noise machine. However, there a very bright blue colored light on the power cord, which is the polar opposite of what you want from a white noise machine. The light makes it challenging to sleep.

This is the second one of these I've purchased. As I wanted one to take with me overseas I found the version I love. And better yet it had all of the adapters for traveling. This machine has the best sound for a good nights sleep.

That's how long I've been using these (I've owned 4, 3 still operational). Bought first one because a neighbor ran a diesel pick up for 10 minutes at 4am. Now I live in the city near a hospital and it blocks sirens nearby, along with loud motorcycles. Mine allow for a deep waterfall sound. My newer plugs and cords are better made and I use one for travel while the other two never move. I've lived with 4 women over the years and they've become addicted to having one. It may take a few evenings to adjust to the machine, but the reward is decades of better sleep

I've had one of these for nearly 15 years now and love it so much I bought one for my sister in law. I just bought a third machine because a relative visited and loved it so much I gave mine to him. This portable Yogasleep Zohne manufactured by Marpac is small and perfect for travel but most importantly has the really excellent, deep base sound that is essential for blocking out noise. Most Noise Machines, including the large ones, are lacking the deep base range. The high-pitched-tinny treble noise does NOT block out the deeper noises like dogs barking and car doors slamming. The deep base (like the deep rich Bose stereo speaker sound) is what blocks out those noises. Unfortunately I'm sad to see there is one consistent defect with this particular portable machine that is annoying. All 3 units I purchased have faulty wiring connection in the plug/wire connection area where it attaches to the back of the machine. When you turn it on, any touching or jiggling of that plug/wire on the back causes the sound to cut in and out. It seems like eventually, these loose wires will break apart and it won't work. Which would be a pretty expensive loss at $78.24. I also own several of the large round Yogasleep Dohm units also manufactured by Marpac and these are bulletproof and work forever, have deep rich basey sound, and are PERFECT. I'm on the fence with this one though as I think it should work perfect from the start. But I do love it.

I have been using this for years as asleep aid. I bought this one for my wife who is now having trouble sleeping. It does not come with a battery pack (useful for foreign travel) but that is available.

We love this machine! The 2 settings are perfect. We bought one like 20 years ago, same brand and it still working without missing one night! Totally recommended.

This machine lasted only a couple months and then started making rattling noises. I contacted customer service about the warranty. I was told I could get a new one but had to call customer service. No one ever picks up the phone so that I can process the return and get a new unit. Far to expensive of a machine to have such HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

When my husband gets up, I set the tone level to mask his footsteps on the hardwood floor. When the birds start chirping in the morning and I'm still trying to get some sleep, I turn the pitch up higher to match the birds and then sleep right through all the bird noise!

I bought this for my son. He loves it. A lot smaller than the old machines. Sound is non wavering. Doesn't skip. I've had mine for years. I recommend blowing out the dust that collects inside the unit with a blow dryer. Its a little pricey, but well worth the money.
