Mission: Vision - tennessee cares for kids envisions a community where all children are valued, grow up in safe, loving and nurturing families and are supported and empowered to reach their full, god-given potential. Mission - we are dedicated to supporting children and families in crisis, foster care, adoption and child abuse prevention in the communities we serve.
Programs: We provided clothing, school supplies, and more to foster children and other children and families in crisis in the communities we serve. We served approx. 300 children and/or families with this program. We also provided housing, utilities, transportation and more to homeless youth (and their children) who were previously in the child welfare system and other families in danger of losing their children to the child welfare system. We also provided supervised visitation services to families referred from the family and juvenile court systems. We also implemented programs designed to decrease the prevalence of child sexual abuse in our community.
