Pan holds a ton of oil and doesn't spill a drop. I've had this unit since 2017 and never had any issues with it.

First time using this one (after using something similar for years) and the old motor oil "melted" the outside of the container as it drained from the car. It appears the materials used were super cheap or not suitable for contact with motor oil.

The reason I bought this one, and then another after moving cross country is simple: it stores upright with no holes/plugs in the MIDDLE of the drain tray to leak. It also has a magnet for the drain plug and an area to allow a filter to continue to drain. Too many friends struggle to keep their containers leak free once the hit the halfway mark. This one did it right, the drain is on the high side, so you have to get it to 90 full before there would even be a potential for a leak. Thats why I rate it 5 stars. good quality plastic, a solid sealing port means it wont spill on the way to a store to drain it. highly recommended. and I'd buy it a third time if I somehow broke this one.

I used to use cheap oil pans and my garage floor is full of oil stains.I haven't spilled a drop on the floor since I started to use this oil pan in conjunction with Fumoto valve and vinyl tube. It definitely worth a few bucks more to eliminate all the mess, trouble and work.

just received th e pan. Initially looks fairly durable and I think the caps will seal pretty well and are located so when standing up should not leak unless the container is filled to capacity. Best deseign I have found for the money. Only concern I have is the hole where the oil drains into the pan. under the cap are two 3/8 drain holes. I have a Ford Powerstroke truck with a 3 1/2 gallon oil capacity and I fear the oil will come out to fast for those two holes to handle and the oil will overflow the reservoir. I 'm pretty sure I can enlarge those holes without damaging the container.

By the title you can guess which vehicle this item was purchased for.I did modify it, so I wouldn't have the problem of overflowing the catch basin with 15 Quarts of oil in free fall.I Increase the size of the oil drain holes in the catch basin (under the big red cap), It came with two holes. With a small vent hole. It just didn't seem easily capable of breathing enough for 15 quarts..With that, I used a step bit to make new holes in the void between the original two catch basin holes, leaving just enough space for some material left between holes. The draining oil came no where near the rim of the catch basin and you could hear the air rushing out that vent hole. There was no gulping effect and the container held the oil with no leaks. It held leak-free in the vertical carrying position or in the horizontal position even when it got knocked over with the catch basin facing down for over an hour.Solid Purchase. I look to it lasting a while, as far as plastics go.Just remember to store the container OUT of direct sunlight.Irregardless of what the manufacturer may claim.

Great capacity, I can get through the oil change on my truck and my wife's car and still have room left over. Hasn't leaked and the oil filter ridges in the mold are super handy.

I like this but I still have a regular oil pan for some jobs. Now I don't store used oil in this (don't know why you would) so I can only say when I've used it on oil changes for my trucks and left it laying flat till I was done and transferred the used oil into the empty containers I've had zero issues. Can't say what will happen if you do a couple oil changes and leave the used oil sitting in this while it's in the corner of your garage, again not what's it's intended for. In summary change oil, clean it up, transfer into empty oil containers and take them for disposal. Oh and this thing is great while you're working on something and drop a tool or bolt or plug you don't have to fish it out of a pool of oil and clean it up.

I had been using one for years I picked up at an auto parts store, it leaked and the cap never felt secure. This one is made much better, the plastic if far thicker, and both the lid and the drain cap feel very secure. It's also about twice the size.
