This one is 1-1/4". I should have bought the handle that is 1-1/8" inside diameter for my snow shovel. I had to shim it to keep it wobbling. It is a very nice handle for it's desity, weight and feel. It feels like the tougher, less brittle type of plastic. I didn't buy the other handle because it appeared to be the type of plastic that is hard and brittle, especially in the cold. I think the other one probably fits to the snow shovel haft better, however.

This Link D-Grip Handle is made in the U.S. and the quality is outstanding. It feels terrific and will last longer than I will. Be prepared to make adjustments to the shovel handle too assure a tight, no-wobble fit.

Did the trick. The cheap plastic handles finally gave up on my two trusty snow shovels. These handles fit perfect. Much cheaper than buying two new shovels.

We have a couple snow shovels that the handles split on. Have been looking for just the handles for a while, but the only option was to buy a new shovel. These fit great and seem stronger than the original ones. Ordered 2 more right away and the price had gone down.

Very happy with this USA-made handle which I'm using to complete my customized snow shovel. I secured it with a coating of epoxy on the inside of the handle and one screw through a thoughtful notch. Notches are provided on each side of the handle. To keep snow out of the small gap, I sealed the opening with hot glue.<br /><br />The plastic seems very high quality, and I can easily see this lasting 10-15 years.
