Kills the CEC signal and with it all of the problems associated with CEC. It even allows eARC to work without the CEC on my RX-V385 receiver. Now the Harmony 650 can do its job.

It effectively stops my soundbar from leaping to HDMI ARC-IN every freaking time I turn on my TV. Because I had to feed the sound into soundbar optical in due to stupid unsnyc-alble tv voice delay and this stopped soundbar from noticing tv on/off thank God (and Lindy).

Ordered one, still had the pin and CEC still worked. Ordered a second, same thing. Is this some kind of joke? They had one job to do!

The DE10-Nano (MiSTer FPGA) will break CEC/ARC connections with devices, so my TV, receiver, and PS4 would stop powering on/off together and allow my TV to control the PS4 menus, switch inputs automatically, and control receiver volume. This little dongle eliminated that connectivity from the device it's connected to and everything is in sync again.

I purchased this adapter because I have an LG 4K Blu-Ray player which has SimpLink (LG's version of CEC) enabled with no way to disable it in the settings menu. Every time I would turn on my TV or my Onkyo AV Receiver, the Blu-Ray Player would turn on. This adapter has solved the problem. I was concerned I would not get 4K or HDR pass through, but all of that still seems to be working correctly.

works great. latest android update for Sony TV messed up the CEC communications and required use of non-CEC adapters

My TV had a conflict with ARC and HDMI-1 Port in terms of Sound and handshaking between by TV and Soundbar. Now this issue is resolved after HDMI-1 Port is connected with the Set-up Box along with CEC Less Adapter.
