We bought these for our kids to have a fun competition during Christmas! They were a big hit! They worked great! My grandson who is 10 worked them fine at the rest of them were adults, but any kids who can use game controls can use these!

My son loves this toy! He and his sister play together all the time. They love that when they actually bump their cars into each other the little person jumps out. It allows them to decide who the winner is in the game. The battery last a long time, charging is easy. Great for solo play too. Sometimes he will just drive it around the house one at a time. This is a great toy for kids ages 6-12 I would say.

These bumper cars were well-made with nice-sized remotes, but they require way too much dexterity for a toddler to use (even though the description says for toddlers 3)). They may be appropriate for kids about 6 years old or older. I was planning on having fun with them myself (before giving them to a 3-year old), but the car batteries need to be charged for about 40 minutes, and the remotes need to have AA batteries (not included) installed. It is time consuming to open the screwed-shut battery compartments. A 40-minute charge provides only 10-15 minutes of playtime, so that can be frustrating. Do get these if the recipient will not mind using a tiny screwdriver to open and close the battery compartments in order to recharge, and will keep track of the screws, screwdriver and charging cables. Do not get them if they are impatient or cannot deal with the chore of recharging.

I ordered these for an 8 year old and a 5 year old. They have a blast playing with these. They are bumper cars and if you hit the your opponent on the yellow side pads the driver is ejected from the car. These are 5 out of 5 stars for fun. The remote takes 2 AA size batteries for each remote (4 total). To access the battery area you need to use the included screwdriver to open the panel and to replace it when done. They have lasted for about 5 hours of use so far without needing replacement. Each car comes with an AA sized rechargeable battery that uses a proprietary connector to one end of the charging cord with the other USB A end of the cord going to your charger. To access the battery you need to use the included screwdriver to open the panel and to replace it when done. It takes 45 minutes with a 5A USB A charger plug to fully charge and a few minutes to put it back in the car and replace the cover and screw. This process really reduces the fun factor for kids using it as they basically get about 10-15 minutes of use then an hour wait to use it again. this feature is at best 3 out of 5 stars. They should have a direct charge connector on the car to charge the battery without having to remove the battery. The remote works well to control the car. All in all, this is a fun toy, but basically a one and done use each day for kids due to the need for an adult to remove the battery, charge the battery, and replace the battery before it's ready to use again.

Got these for my twin boys, but me and the wife tried them first and it was fun. We raced. We realized she doesn't know how to control RC cars that have front/reverse and Left/Right on separate sticks. It was a blast. I like the speed control concept but barely noticed a difference on our tile. Still, I can make sure my boys have it on lower speed so it's not as overwhelming to control. It is fun to race these around or just play bumper cars with them. You have to hit the other on the side to make the driver pop out, which makes it a little more challenging than just slamming into them where ever you can. Seriously is fun to drive these. And a good value for a two-pack that is intended to just crash into each other. My boys are 3, so I wanted something easy for them to drive that I wouldn't care if they crashed a lot. This is it. Not that it's super easy to control, it is sort of challenging since the cars actually drive sideways and don't just turn. It's the fact that they are meant for crashing that made this the easy pick. Quality: I did have issues with one car, the remote keeps giving me issues connecting to the car. Even after driving I turn the remote off and back on and it had issues connecting. The other remote I did the same on/off/on test and it didn't have any issues reconnecting immediately. Both have brand new batteries. The other car is a little more difficult to get the driver in the seat and he was popping out way too easily. I'm really between 3 or 4 stars and would want to give it 4 if I didn't have the controller issues. I will re-evaluate after these get some more use. If the remote connection issue resolves itself, will gladly move this up to 4 star.

This is a fun set of 2 bumper cars that is fun to play with (as an adult playing with a child, or even two adults!). Pros: This was a lot of fun for two people to play with. Maybe it's me, but it wasn't quite clear in the listing that the little men go shooting into the air when you hit the yellow bars on either side of the car. That was a fun surprise! Sometimes the other car bumps into you and ejects your driver, or sometimes it's just due to your own poor driving and you run into something and eject your own man. Either way, it's fun. Cons: The rechargeable batteries that a lot of toys seem to be coming with these days are a pain to constantly keep taking out, charging, and putting back in. There is a strangely placed hole in the back of the remote right next to the battery compartment. Of course the tiny battery screw fell right into it for me, so I had to take apart the whole thing to get it out. The music these play is loud. The little men are kind of tricky to get seated into the cars correctly, it takes some patience, which my son quickly lost so just drove them without the little driver. It's pretty hard to control/steer these little things. Even when trying to go slowly and move in a certain direction, it takes several tries. There are 4 separate things that need turned on and off each time you play with them, so it's easy to forget and quickly drain the rechargeable battery.
