Mission: The Leavenworth County Humane Society, Inc. , originally founded in 1885, provides the animal welfare focal point for all of Leavenworth County, KS by: -conducting humane education for schools and community groups -providing spay/neuter services -working to improve animal protection laws -caring for stray, abandoned, or relinquished animals -finding homes for adoptable animals -helping owners retain their pets -partnering with cities, county, rescues, other shelters, and animal welfare groups
