It's covered in dirt, and has chips and scratches in the paint that have begun to rust. This item was very obviously already used, and abused. It was listed as new, and I paid for new, so I should have been sent a new item. Definitely don't buy this product if you want it to be new, as advertised.

It's supposed to hold up part of the car, and it seems to do just that. I do have a compact, though so not too much of a stress test compared to a pick up or van, but worked great for my needs.

This is a very well-built device - high quality, sturdy. However, its missing the safety feature that keeps the stand from slipping out. In reality this will NEVER slip out - but when you get ONE chance to find out (the day you find out will probably be your last day) I cannot take even the slightest risk. I could not bring myself comfortably to using this device. So I had to throw it out. And for that, i am giving it a 1-star.
