I opened these up and remember feeling that they were pretty solid. You want something sturdy to hold up the weight of the car while you're under it, your life depends on items like these. But then I took a glance at one of the black steel ratchet bars and quickly realized that it was bent. It was curved like the moon. I don't know if someone previously had used em and did that to them, or if they came out of the factory like that. Either way, hell no I wasn't going to trust them. I went to Harbor Freight and got a pair of their new reinforced jack stands with the safety pin, they were more expensive but I'm very happy with those.

These are perfect for light cars. I wouldn't use them for heavy trucks, but for my purposes, they work!

Inside has incomplete welds. This can be compared to photos from earlier reviews. The lack of quality control is scary considering it is meant to support the weight of a car while people potentially work under it.

This pair worked as extra support while changing the front brake pads, inner and outer tie rods last weekend. They withstood the weight of my 2006 Nissan Pathfinder. Easy to lock into position and easy to unlock with the pull handle. They don't stack when stored, so be aware that they will store side by side. Overall, would buy again.

Honestly overall i've no problems with these jacks. Use them pretty often and I'm not scared they're gonna randomly fail based on design. (Always have a second form of safety security though when fixing your vehicles.) Would recommend them.

Needed them more for the added height than the weight capacity, but there we are. More than enough for your average 1/2T 4x4 pickup, and still probably mild overkill for a bigger, heavier truck. The double lock pin is a nice touch for added peace of mind.

Purchased the BIG RED T46002A jack stands for lifting our SUV's do perform transmission, differential and transfer case DIY service. The jack stands are rugged, solid construction. The additional lock out bar is intended to prevent an accidental release of the primary lock system. The units are steel and the secondary safety bar appears aluminum. The 6 TON units provide an extra level of lifting capacity as all 4 tires will be off the ground simultaneously.

They were too tall for what I bought them for but we kept because of 4 wheeler needed to height.

I bought a pair of 3 tons while my car is just less than 2 tons. It seems safe enough for me.

This is my second pair of these stands. My first pair were bought over 10 years ago and the new ones almost identical to the first set with similarly good quality. Sometimes quality degrades over time but not the case here. These are heavy duty and sturdy jack stands which are a good size and height for light duty trucks and SUVs that have a higher ground clearance. The ratcheting catches work well and the safety cross pin provides additional security and confidence. I'm sure you can spend more and get better but for my DIY purposes i think they are a good value.

Seems fine. Projectfarm did a review of this and I wanted something secure and reliable to compliment the two I seem to have gotten lucky with. It locks into place and seems secure.

Jackstands held up an H3 Hummer fine and felt very secure. The tab on the side they expect you to push in that keeps the black part from pulling all the way out is very strong metal, not able to be pushed by a screw driver easily, not sure the trick for it yet actually, I don't move them around much. Solid jack stands.
