While this pump is not commercial grade I do use them for commercial projects knowing I will need to replace parts or the entire pump from time to time. I have purchased at least 8 of them over the course of 3-4 years. My entire company uses them daily for pest control treatments and as you know employees can be very hard on equipment that they don't have to buy.I continue to purchase these pumps because the company is FIRST RATE when it comes to customer service. They have never failed to respond to an issue quickly and offer helpful solutions.Another thing that I like is the manufacturer listens to customer feed back and is continually improving design and durability. Case in point - They added a comfortable back plate to the original design. They beefed up the hose assembly although it could still be more sturdy. They added a metal spray tip in addition to the plastic ones. They did improve the strap design, but is still needs work.The pumps themselves work really well. They are easy to use and the stream can reach 20-25' and beyond when fully charged. The battery usually lasts 4-5 hours with intermittent use of 15 minutes at at time before the pump begins to noticeably decline in pressure. They can last around 8 hours of total use on one charge and that beats the heck out of wearing out your shoulder from pumping!Things I have noticed about this pump -the tank cannot be lifted by the tank handle without cracking the tank around it.the straps do not hold well unless they are looped back on themselves more than once. you will want to keep an eye on the straps and tighten them as needed or the pump will fall off your back and likely crack when it hits the ground.the supply hose has a tendency to crack near the connections after some time. This is an easy fix, though.the connection from the hose to the tank comes loose very easily - This can be remedied by tightening the nut inside the battery housing before first use.the door to the battery will break at the hinges, but will still snap into place and it does not prevent the pump from being usedPROsease of usepricecustomer serviceCONssome durability issues when used daily for commercial projectsoverall for the price this is a very good product

I was able to clean my entire 350' lf of 6' fence in a fraction of the time from a pump sprayer, and all on one charge. My only complaint is the handle, if you have 4 gallons, the handle and/or the pole wants to pull out of the backpack frame. I ended up putting it on a two wheel dolly, will eventually just put a screw in both ends of pole. GREAT product otherwise!

Works good but the straps are slippery and dont stay where you want them. They give you lots of xtra washers but I do find its confusing. battery stays charged a very long timeSo if you can deal with the straps - get it

I purchased this 6 months ago and use it regularly to fog fur mosquitos and other insects. Super easy to use. Unfortunately after 6 months the two plastic clips broke that secure the backpack straps. I reached out to customer service at Petra Tools and Tin and Nathan took wonderful care of me. They are sending me an entire new unit and letting me keep the current one for parts! 10/10 recommend this product and Petra Tools!

Just got my new HD 4000 sprayer works good. I love not having pump a HandelTo get it to work.Website was down. Could not register my product. So I called in and talked to Mickey very nice and I got it registered.

After using my Solo 3gal. backpack piston sprayer for 40 years, it finally gave up the ghost. This device is a MAJOR improvement, but I do have a couple issues. 1. The connection for the shoulder straps at the bottom are only holes in a plastic flange. When will they snap? What if I smack it against a tree? 2. Having the large fill opening on the side is very handy, but the wand storage clip is poorly placed. Not sure who decided where to put it, but any Applicator with ANY training will know that you should rinse your sprayer (means filling and dumping 3 times) and the clip means I have to leave the wand dragging in the dirt while I dump out the rinse water or I have to figure out how to hold it while holding the sprayer and the wand and the fill cap and the shoulder straps out of the way. And anybody that tells you that you can use the same sprayer for both herbicides and chemicals you can apply to plants that are not designed to kill them is just plain stupid. Buy 2. Period. I will as soon as my Solo diaphragm sprayer gives out (also 40 years old). The extendable wand is soo nice. I can reach around instead of trying to squeeze behind many of my plants. Never really did understand the need for all the extra tips. An adjustable cone and a flat fan are all that most should need. All in all I will come back and update to 5 stars in a year if this thing holds up.

DIY Residential lawn sprayer for liquid fertilizer, pre emergent use (use a different smaller manual sprayer for postemergent). Have used it for 1 year on appx 0.5 acre lawn.Positives:1. Easy to use, ready for use on arrival2. Good price point3. Very responsive customer service (had to contact for some warranty issues 10 months post purchase and had Mikki at Petra Customer service promptly send out a replacement part)Possible areas of improvement:1. Non tank material could be a bit sturdier (the strap/backpack, plastic base/battery compartment door)2. Non intuitive design; If you turn the red switch to ON, the sprayer uses the max flow rate and the knob is redundant. Ideally the Red switch should just turn ON the machine and the flow/spray rate should only be set by the knob (turn it up for MAX).3. If you want to be careful about your spray patterns you may need to upgrade the spray tipsOverall, I am satisfied with the purchase and hope to use it for a few years at least.

Top strap won't stay buckled. One does,.one does not. Other than that worked awesome.

Living in the country on 1 1/2 acres with tumble weeds everywhere can be a time consuming endeavor. Before purchasing this unit we would use a self pumping backpack sprayer pump to spray areas prone to weeds. Not only was it hard on the body it could take a half of a day to complete. With this pump I was able to complete the onerous chore within an hour.Customer service was great too. Had a cracked part that was quickly replaced. Thank you Jenalee for excellent customer service.

Lots of pressure and long battery life. Wand materials are weak but customer service is responsive and will help with broken pieces. Nina was very helpful when I had an issue.

Works well, I use the large orange round spray head for max coverage and quickly empties the 4 gallons. First unit died and they quickly sent replacement. (not sure what failed). Spray Imposter (round up type) and MSMA poison as well as bug killer. Yard looks great and no bugs - now easier with this sprayer.

We have a bit of property and spray fertilizer and insecticide. Each application if insecticide is 40-50 gallons so a pump sprayer is not efficent. I shopped around and the 4 gallon power sprayer was the best deal with attachments and some good reviews. I have been using it now for 3 months and have put 100 gallons through it with very little issues.The good stuff:It is made of a better than average plastic so it is fairly durable.It cleans up easy.The hoses, shoulder straps, cords and attachments are all of good quality.This can be used for a small ranch, farm, homestead.The battery lasts a LONG time (10 tanks at least) but needs to charge overnight.The customer service is exceptional. Nina was very helpful with resolving my adapter issue.It comes with a bunch of replacement seals and a fuse, good stuff to have as these things wear out.It comes with multiple heads and they all work exactly as they should.The not so great stuff:Overall it is not the most intuitive to use. Some heads use different adapters than others and some have adapters for the adapters.....seriously.....the big spray head has to have 2 adapters to connect to the wand....The batter charge gauge is wierd. It has a red light and a green light. If they are both on its charged.....little wierdWhile it is easy to clean it does require cleaning often as the heads will get clogged up.Due to the wieght if it when full its not for everyone.....Its a 4 gallon backback with a 12V DC battery. It wieghs like 50 pounds full.The power switch and dial for pressure are a bit weird. They both have an on and off position. I get it for the power switch but the on/off for pressure dial is weird, why is it there? What does it do?Overall its a good product at a good price and it works well and is durable which is exactly what I was looking for. Petratools if your listening, if you make some new models make things a bit more intuitive.

My first pump worked like a charm on my yard the first time and again the second time until it completely quit running halfway through spraying my yard. After trying all of the troubleshooting, I called the number in the side of the pump and Jen helped me out. After talking with her for a few minutes she determined that the pump went out and she ordered a replacement right away. It arrived a few days later, I have used it and it works great! Thanks Jen.I had a hand pump backpack sprayer previously and this battery one is sooooo much better! I can get the job done in half the time, with a more even coverage and using less solution

1. Assembly worked fine. The video was helpful. The only issue was minor. After charging, turning on the unit didn't do anything. It turned out that the black battery wire was not connected. I connected it and voila.2. The reach of the stream mode is very good for what I'm doing. The battery life also allowed me to do an extended session which was helpful.3. The only suggestion would be to put stop devices at the end of the harness straps. They are kept in position with tension. After a couple session, one of the shoulder straps came completely out and the unit was dangling by the other shoulder strap. Perhaps the extended vibration worked it loose. I was on a four foot ladder at the time and it was quite surprising.

good sprayer we bought 4 for the farm. Battery is a little on the cheep side, and comes unhooked sometimes. But hey, for the price who cares.
