The carbon block filter consists of high-quality activated carbon. It is effective in reducing free chlorine, bad taste, odor, THM, organics, hazardous chemicals and more.
Depending on source water quality or flow rate, it needs to be replaced based upon usage with a rating of 60,000 gallons of water replace as follows:
Each filter is individually sealed to keep freshness. Fits models using standard 10 in. x 4.5 in. big blue whole-house water filters.
Often used before an RO Membrane to protect the membrane from Chlorine in the water. Chlorine in the water greatly reduces the RO Membrane service life.
