The two boxes arrived on time and in excellent condition. The small box was nested inside the larger box. Each was in its own individual bubble wrap for protection, and they were in a nice cardboard box. There was a strong chemical smell, maybe the wood glue. I had to put them in a different room overnight, but the next day the odor had dissipated and is no longer an issue. We didn't need two boxes, but it's a nice set anyway. We just wanted something to store our remote controls when we aren't home because our dog thinks everything is a chew toy. I needed a box that has a latch, so that the contents will be secure inside if the dog knocks it over with her powerful tail. This fits the nicely. nicely. Worth the price.

The wood isn’t as dark or as nice as pictured, but for the price, they are okay. I stained mine to improve the appearance.

Although the boxes are pretty they’re also a little flimsy. The heart lock is really nice but key system is very difficult to use. Inside part of the lock is floppy. I’m going to keep them. I would not buy them for a young person. I’ll be really careful with them because of the flimsiest.
