I purchased this 8 pin Din plug for a home project involving a Cobalt Qube 3. It has good solid pins, not the junk hollow ones. The plastic is of good quality and easily withstood 600 degrees of heat from the soldering iron without the pins becoming loose. The solder points on the pins have recessed holes for the wires to go in and took my kester 44 rosin core solder easily, creating a strong connection. Strip your wires short (1/8" or so) and there is no need of insulation on the connections. The metal body is good strong metal that isn't going to snap off the first time you bend it. The jacket retention crimp is of the same solid metal and the boot is made of decent plastic that isn't going to easily crack or damage anytime soon.Combined this with an atx power supply for a reliable solution to replace the $105.00 Cobalt factory power supply.
