Chips used to be cooked in lard. Lard got a bad rap years ago, but it was not true. Genetically modified seed oil is very bad especially when heated to high temps. Canola oil was oil used for industrial lubrication but I think they use other bad chemicals to use it in food.

Takes me back in time to the 1960's I used to by a brand in a suburb of Detroit named Dairy Fresh go figure they mostly made dairy products but also made potato chips in small batches cooked in lard I know not really good for you but the taste was always exquisite! Crunchy then melt in your mouth good much better than Better Made chips made in Detroit the only downside is the price of Goods Homemade chips $13.49 a pound! Way to much but when your a potato chip aficionado what can you do!!

Really fantastic. This particular type of chip is available almost nowhere. You have Grandma Utz, you used to have Tri-Sum (my homestate favorite til they changed to palm oil) and now these. Get them, you will love them. For those who are used to chips cooked in Lard and are bored and dissatisfied with too thin overly salty fake salt tasting chips like Wise or Lays, get in here and get some of these. They are real deal old world chips.
