Mission: To assist families, congregations, communities, and nations live beyond differences, in respectful presence of all through dialogue in action. To help people of differing religious ideologies and faith practices focus on commonly held beliefs that are transformative and life-changing.
Programs: With the help of interfaith volunteer in mission teams, and the wichita rotary club, our usa and haiti agriculture research teams are working on how they can enable the haitian farmer to increase productivity, reduce poverty, and strengthen the sustainability of life in haiti.
the beyond tolerance movement in wichita has reached out to potential cities in michigan, nebraska, and kansas. Wichita mayor jeff longwell remains our honorary chairperson. The movement's mission is to transform communities by respecting all colors of humanity through truth, justice, and relationships. Successful beyond tolerance projects include: (1) decoration of trees at schools, city hall, homes, and businesses. (2) city-wide rally's and luncheons that introduce the movement to the wichita community. (3) two dialogue dinners. One taking place in homes and one in a gymnasium. There were over 100 participants at each dinner dialogue.
continue to developed a global faith in action (gfia) chapter at wichita state university with student and faculty leadership. Their fourth year accomplishments included dialogue dinners, and the recruiting of 9 students to travel to haiti and work side by side with haitian young adults in the creation of a vegetable garden, as well as assisting in the medical clinic.
