Mission: Assist blm in managing red rock canyon nca. Our members volunteer in areas such as trail maintenance and repair, graffiti removal, area clean-up and rehabilitation, cultural monitoring and preservation and caring for the resident Rock Stars: the desert tortoises who live in the habitat. More than 150 members volunteered in excess of 28,000 in in 2016/2017.
Target demographics: preserve and conserve the trails, cultural sites and provide education about responsible area usage.
Geographic areas served: Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area
Programs: Primary staffing for the information desk; providing transportation scholarships (field trips) to Title One schools; trail construction and maintenance; managing the Tortoise Habitat; graffiti removal; preservation and documentation of Native American cultural sites.
