I have bought three white ones and two black ones of this croc type grease container. The reason I continue to re-purchase is because I love the look of this and how it works. However, they are so fragile as simple as lifting the lid and it hitting the jar, you could break the lid or just picking the lid up and placing it on the counter at the wrong angle, even if you only do it gently, it cracks and or breaks. So, I continue to buy this item to get a replacement lid to be able to use the jar. This is my last one .

This Bacon Grease Keeper is made of ceramic. Very functional I take special care of it. It is beautiful in my kitchen.

Not a comfortable grease can if you plan to use often. Heavy ceramic.

This is my second purchase of this grease jar (different color). I was looking for a very specific grease holder and this one fit the bill. I wanted something largely basic, just a simple jar with not a lot of fluff or attention to it. I wanted a ceramic insert instead of a metal one; just my preference. I wanted it to be of a good medium size. I wanted it to say 'grease' and not 'bacon' or something else, because I save more than just bacon grease. This guy fit everything I was looking for. I've been using it for several months now, and I've no complaints with it. Well, just one really, and that's only that I wish they came in more color options. Aside from that, it's thick and sturdy, and hasn't cracked from hot grease. The ceramic insert is easy to wipe/clean. I purchased 2 of these total and I'm still pleased with the find.

Looks great on the counter and works well. Smaller than I had hoped to have. I have to clean it out a lot more than I would like.
