Years ago I got one of these coffee scoop/clip combos "free after rebate" at a home improvement store almost as a gimmick, and I ended up falling in love with it as a way to easily scoop from the bottom of a bag of coffee grounds. I figured the brands were all the same and I didn't give it a second thought, until I bought this one. It turns out that to reach into the bag, I pinch the end of the handle side with my fingertips, and this version's metal is so thin that it presses into your skin like a knife. If you were scooping out of a larger container you'd probably never notice that, but if you're using this for coffee bags and you hold it like I do, you're going to wish its metal were thicker.
