In my job, I am constantly talking to people, almost non-stop, for hours and hours every day. I have a big problem with dry mouth, and have tried everything (mouthwashes, special toothpastes, sprays, etc...), but nothing has worked as well or as long as this gum. Not only does it freshen my breath (so I am not breathing dragon-breath on people), but it keeps my mouth from drying out. Thus, I am able to talk without constantly sipping water (and constantly going to the bathroom!). The most important aspect of this gum though is that it maintains its consistentcy throughout. Almost every single gum I have tried out there, will literally fall apart and I wind up with a gooey mess in my mouth after several hours talking to people; then, I have to either try to take it out, which is a mess, or just try to swallow it all, which usually doesn't work out very well; either way, it interupts the conversation, and is a distraction. This gum is the only gum I have ever found that maintains its flavor for the longest time, but more importantly, will NOT fall apart no matter how long I am chewing it! Two caveats to that, one- I found a half a pack that had fallen between the seats in my car, and was several YEARS old. I still chewed them, they were slightly stale and brittle, and they did fall apart after several hours (still did better than many gums). Two- I put a pack in the freezer to see if that would keep it fresh longer (I had bought a bulk pack with 20, 30, 40 packs, something like that), and the gum that was frozen seemed to fall apart very quickly even if left to defrost to room temperature. Otherwise, this gum is the best I have found. By the way, the entire 5 gum lineup (multiple different flavors) do well regarding lasting taste and not falling apart, but for some reason, the spearmint rain seems to do the absolute best. It is the only gum I chew, and the only time I will chew something different is one of the other 5 brand flavors, just to change it up a little.

I carry 5 gum in my pocket for everyday use as needed or desired. Meetings at work, appointments, or social engagements. This gum has the best flavor and it lasts longer than any other gum I have used. I have been using it for years and will continue to.
