The steel makes it very challenging to depress both during installation and removal of the device. On the other hand, It does indeed hold tightly anything inserted. But if there is sensitivity due to injury, the steel may squeeze too tightly before any traction is even applied.

If you ever need to pull wires (I pulled two coax- one with the connector on and a direct burial Cat six on one run with no problems. Used an existing line to pull a fishing tape and the fishing tape to pull the lines with the cable sock. 75 ft run in 1" conduit without issue.

This is great for an electrician, saving time and preparation for pulling cables, you don't have to strip and join, just tie the ends of the cables and put the sleeve on and that's it, nomad of complicated and thick knots, the more you pull, the tighter it is. the sleeve over the cables.
