It's good. The flavor isn't quite as rich and intense as I remember. I think that carob at its peak flavor has to be picked and air-dried a bit, but not too much, to retain the most flavor. It's tricky. I'm just glad I can get organic carob. I used to pick it off the trees that grew on the UC San Diego campus, on my way to the new library, when the University was very young. And I really miss Haagen Das Carob ice cream. So now, maybe I'll just make my own.

I got some carob to use in recipes from a book called Naturally Delicious Deserts and Snacks. It's good to change off from sugar to alternatives and this book uses honey in the recipes. Fun change of pace.

We use lots of carob at my house daily. Organic is important to us. I've tried other brands, but Anthony's is far better in taste and texture.

I bought this as recommended for the acid reflux diet by Dr. Aviv - never heard of it before this book! It has the greatest smell - a bit richer than cocoa powder. I add one teaspoon of it to one tablespoon of chicory powder to 12oz of hot water and it's the most soul-warming drink at the end of the day with a splash of creamer. The bag's zip lock broke so I just roll it closed with a clip. No issues with this product at all.

Nice flavor, however do be aware that the zip seal on the packaging is terrible. I recommend getting a clip.

If you enjoy quick dis-solving carob for a hot drink , ... this is perfect ! Mmmmmm ..... just everyday in my herbal tea. Carob is good for the digestive track .... you will see an improvement. Vegan just ROCKS !!!!

I've tried other carob powders but they had a bit of a sour taste and smell to them, and we're kind of clumpy. Maybe that's natural and not necessarily a bad thing since there were labeled organic. But either way, they weren't very appetizing. Anthony's wasn't like that though. It actually tasted really rich and came in a fine powder. I've been enjoying using it to make my own 'chocolate' bars, mixing it with coconut oil and other flavors.

It's hard to watch people eat chocolate candy and smell it and not drool! I googled substitutes for chocolate and this popped up. I made a chocolate cake and fudge and no one could tell it wasn't really chocolate! I wasSo happy to be able to eat something that didn't make me sick and tastes just like the real deal.
