As other reviewers have, I purchased this speaker as an upgrade for my inexpensive Fender Champion 40. Installation was very simple and took all of 5 minutes (of note, you will probably to clip the negative terminal on the Cannabis Rex to fit the half width connector on the amp). The sounds is much tighter and better integrated than with the stock speaker. It is lightyears ahead of stock. Obviously, you will need to tweak the amp settings to get exactly what you're after tonally as it definitely has a different balance than stock but no matter what I have done it is better than it was before the switch.Overall, a great, inexpensive, easy upgrade to a Fender Champion 40 and well worth it if you have one!

I have replaced speakers in two amps with this speaker, one in a Fender Blues Deluxe-Tweed and one in my Fender Blues Junior. This speaker provides a warm t smooth tone, yet still very loud. The two speakers that I replaced, were the original Celestion speakers, which were brittle and sharp. I highly recommend this speaker. Mine are the Cannabis Rex 12 inch 8 ohm 50 watt.

This really warms up over bearing Fender amps. Sometimes the mid scoop and harshness is just too much, especially with single coils. This speaker really solves that problem at a respectable price. Be warned, this will take around 40 hours for proper break in, and be sure not to over tighten the mounting bolts or you could induce voice coil rub from the speaker frame warping.

Smoothed out my Katana 50 MkII to be more jazzy. Only problem during installation is that the basket is a bit larger than the stock Katana speaker making it necessary to shave a BUNCH off the wooden brace on the amplifier chasis assembly. As well, I guess the posts are larger than the stock Katana speaker so you have to kludge that a little. Tisk, tisk...all trivial things. It has that smooth Hemp Vibe and produces a more balanced tone range. The price is reasonable. I'm a fan. I'd do it again, probably will.

Installing this speaker actually makes my 2018 Blues Deluxe Reissue sound great with all EQ at Noon. With the original Eminence Special Design, EQ had to be very skewed to achieve a usable tone. Highly recommended!

The original Jensen speaker wasn’t bad sounding but the Rex is definitely an upgrade. It sounds better to my ears. Smoother with just enough breakup. Surprised how good this little amp sounds now. Great for blues, rock, or jazz. I’ve been lugging around a heavy 4/10 blues deville for almost 30 years with some past traumatic injury to my back. This speaker and little amp is a life saver. Sounds damn good. I’m very happy with this purchase.I also replaced tubes with Tung-sol Tubes.

I swapped this in to replace the stock Jensen speaker in my Fender Blues Jr. We took a weekend trip so I saved several tracks from Satriani's Surfing With the Alien and let it loop the entire weekend. I'm sure my fish and chameleon weren't too happy but I figured this would be a great way to break the speaker in. I think it's been a nice improvement.
