Absolutely fantastic. Does exactly what it's supposed to do. Worked great first time out. Functions are easy to learn, has a 34;measure34; button - to engage the laser, a 34;mode34; for counting the revolutions and to measure the RPM and a memory button. Quality construction, feels good in the hand, very ergonomic. Comes with battery, three strips of reflective tape and a carrying case. Would buy again.

Compared to my inductive pickup tachometer and got the same reading on a spindle. Checked several other outputs and they were spot on to the tenth of an RPM. Slowest speed I checked was 21.1 RPM. This was verified by timer and counting. Mine came with three, 8quot; pieces of reflective tape. Not a lot but gets you started. Used from 2quot; to 24quot; and got the same readings. You do have to hold the tachometer steady to get good readings on slower shafts. Battery cover is screwed on with a very small screw but didn't fall out when removed. Overall, it does what it says it will do and pretty well at that. I am pleased with the unit. One more thing, the backlight is pretty nice too.
