The previous motor was overheating, tripping on thermal overload. After a variety of other attempted fixes I decided to buy this replacement. It comes marked as O.E.M. and installed easily.

Amazing seller!!!! I Ordered this motor for my Dyson vacuum twice because the first one was causing a burning smell but had no issues with replacing it from seller sent me a new one and so far so good !! I’m happy with it and for a female I did pretty good at changing the motor myself and saved a lot of money Dyson wanted $100 just to look at my vacuum u do the math was it worth it ?? Damn right! Use YouTube video purchase the motor from this amazing seller u are guaranteed to have u expensive Dyson running smooth all over again without expensive repairs u may as well purchase a new vacuum if u send your vacuum to Dyson for the repairs it’s a rip off!!

Mine came in box labeled dyson genuine components. Perfect fit into my DC39. The whole product is well engineered and disassembly/reassembly was a piece of cake. I researched the process on youtube videos first, so there was no guesswork. Motor works great, now I have a like new vacuum. sidenote There is a foam seal on the top of the cyclonic collector assembly, you may want to research and replace this too while replacing the motor, mine was torn and allowed dirt to bypass.

My particular model has a separate power control board. I had to remove the board from this motor to install. Otherwise, it was an easy install with decent DIY documentation available on YouTube.

Seller should make clear that this motor DOES NOT work for a Dyson DC33 vacuum. I don't know what it would work on, the shaft that the drive belt goes on isn't there !!

This motor repaired an issue where the DC39 would only run for 2min then shut off. All my research online said it was the filter or relay switch, etc.., but after replacing all the above the motor was the problem. This item is an exact OEM motor replacement. Fixed issue of vacuum cycling off due to thermal overload.

I was able to quickly replace this motor and now my vacuum works like new! Dyson wanted $80 just to mail my vacuum in for repair so this was a great deal!
