The bottom of the sole has some sort of velvet glued to it that peels off. I've re-glued it twice. Otherwise I love these shoes.

These just got here and I couldn't be happier. I have wide-ish feet so it's hard trying to figure out sizing. I'm a 9(in women's), but because I don't have narrow feet I usually size up and I'm happy I did. The toe area has so much room and is super comfortable, the arch area isnt stiff so it allows for a comfortable fit for wider feet or even the wear of thick socks and because the velcro is sturdy and actually sticks it can be adjusted. I love these. The platform isn't hard to walk in AT ALL. So happy.
