Dayton Audio's unique DAEX25X4-4 exciter assembly employs an array of four separate exciters coupled together with a frame. This combined motor strength actuates an area larger than what conventional exciters can drive, resulting in higher power handling and more output.

The Dayton Audio exciter assembly's unique design uses four 25 mm exciters coupled to a plastic frame to actuate a larger area with more force than conventional designs. This array of exciters is wired in a series-parallel configuration for an overall impedance of 8 ohms and power handling of up to 40 watts RMS.
The DAEX25X4-4 exciter features the same ability to turn nearly any surface into a speaker as other exciters and tactile transducers do, only with a larger contact area and moving mass that increases energy transfer. Perfect for use in walls, drop ceilings, or even cabinet doors.
To ensure maximum acoustic energy transfer between the transducer and the surface to which it is attached, 3M VHB (Very High Bond) adhesive is pre-applied... just peel and stick! Connection is made with 10" wire leads to keep installation and wiring as simple as possible.

I was not sure what to expect from these but I was pleasantly surprised. I have yet to mount these but I am thinking they will sound pretty awesome. I tested them on foam board and sounds came out sounding good. I plan to mount these on resin ceiling tiles.

Made my own speakers out of ceiling tiles, you can find the video on YouTube. They sound incredible! For the money they can't be beat.

Like others, super easy to stick to a piece of pink foam insulation, and create a pretty amazing setup provided you have a subwoofer. I've dropped a few jaws when I fire these things up. I've spent 0 effort on finishing them. My panels are 2 ft x 3 ft, used the 1/3 rule. They are biased a bit high on treble with no noticeable sibilance. They blend into any room. They handle a reasonable amount of power. They image well, and do not seem to suffer too much from a limited sweet spot. If your on a budget and want some cool hi-fi speakers, give these a shot. Will they beat a $2000 set of martin Logan's? No. But you can have these and about $1900 of beer and barely tell the difference. My panels do need a fair amount of room though.
