2004 LX470 rear door replacement speakers. Just the right size (4.5 inches outside diameter - an unusual size). I replaced the blown Mark Levinson amp with car amp that has Bluetooth so I needed 4 ohm speakers to replace the 8 ohm factory speakers. These fit great, no cutting required. I did need to drill 2 holes in the old speaker mount and add 2 screws. They sound much better than I expected for their size. I kept the old ML tweeters in place and wired them in also.

Bought this 4" driver for diy "boombox", istalled to eclosure with 2pcs 4" chinese passive radiators, they are very light. Im currently using zk21-tb - amp's sub out for driver, tested also with L/R - output. Sound quality is fine/good for the price. Driver can't play high volume with low keys, distortion appears very quickly. I think over all quality is great, will buy more later.

I bought two of these to replace subwoofer speakers that blew on my home system. the work great, but the mounting hole are almost too narrow to really get all 4 screws back in.

If you are replacing an existing 4" speaker check the bolt pattern. This speaker has a 4 1/4" pattern. The original 4" speaker in my unit had a 4 1/2" pattern. I was able to install the speaker, but had to drill new mounting holes at an angle.Otherwise, I was impressed by the quality and the sound.

With proper speaker box and a tuned bass port, these little 4" woofer can reach down to 50-60 Hz. great sound for a small room

The build quality is nice, the sound reproduction is respectable, the xmax is very impressive as well as the amount of sound it produces thanks to the extra long travel. The gasket that comes with the speaker is kinda useless because it's thinner than the lip of the speaker rim where it was rolled at the factory. Not a big deal, a little thicker weatherstripping around the hole in the baffle, and you're good to go. I purchased two of these and I believe I will get a few more soon.

I slapped a small amp on and used these as subs for a portable speaker box. They hit really nice too. If I had built a better box, the sound would have been great for a portable. I'm not sure how these sound as midranges because I filtered those frequencies out. Seems like a good quality though.

This is a great speaker for the price. I use a pipe tube directly over the front of the speaker. I am using the speaker in a DIY AMP sound system. I have a $30 50Wx2 plus 100W base AMP and 2 Dayton Exciter tweeter speakers. I place a corigated tube directly over the front of the speaker. This puts out a ton of base. With out a pipe tube I don't thik it puts out much base at all. I am tweaking my speaker design to get the best sound quality between this Mid Base speaker and the Tweeters. I might have to add to more Exciters to get better high end or add a mid end speaker only. In conclusion: I am impressed with this speaker for. The price and size if used with a Pipe Tube setup.
