Bought the first one in 2016 and it still works. After 8 years I decided to get a new one since I had to get a new cover. The new cover is thicker and the lifter comes with extensions to handle the new cover. After looking at many other designs I liked this one since the plate sits under the hot tub, no drilling needed. Also you can see in my last 2 pictures it doesn’t obstruct any views. Before this lifter I used to take it off manually which I believe ruined the other covers. Simple design and great value for the money. Just go slow while using it and it will last.

I like that it is easy to operate and holds the cover securely. I have the longer skirt on the top so it doesn’t lay down properly with the lift in the way I cut some slits in the skirt to straddle some of the bracing, but I need to do more for it to lay down better.

I have an 8 foot lid. Initially the install is super easy. Slide it under the tub, test it out, boom 5 stars all is well. BUT within the steps, they want you to screw 4 screws into the hot tub siding itself. The screws are long but pretty thin and don't get much bite. This is important because otherwise the structure will bend backwards, away from the tub, whenever it is holding the load of the lid. This will yank those little screws out over time, and maybe even the tub siding. So either you have to make sure you put those screws into studs inside the frame of the tub, or use bigger screws, or just ensure you handle this backwards pressure somehow. This caddy doesn't have a big enough base to counterbalance the load of the lid. In my case I retrofitted a 2x4 into my deck and used big lag bolts to hold the caddy in place and prevent it from bending backwards.

The has to be the best cover remover. Ease of operation is unreal. This is the best purchase we have made for our hot tub.

3 years and the aluminum has bent and the cover lays almost flat on the ground. NEEDS THICKER HIGHER QUALITY ALUMINUM!!! Do any manufacturers realize I would pay double for something that would actually last a reasonable amount of time.

Very easy to install, with the hot tub empty I slide a hand truck under the tub where the valet was to be installed and merely bent the hand truck down which picked up the edge of the hot tub allowing me to slide the footing of the valet underneath. Great product.

We were very hesitant when the original cover that we bought needed to be attached to the outside of our hot tub, so we were thrilled to find this option. We were able to install it after the tub was full with some help from friends. This cover doesn't sit too high while we're in the tub and is really easy to take on and off. Really happy with this product.

This thing is amazing, and I say that without hyperbole. Easy enough to install, I used a breaker bar and a paver stone to leverage the tub up, doesn't need much space. The first time you try it, it feels like "no way, it can't be that easy" but it truly is that easy. One piece of advice, before you install take it somewhere you don't care about the ground and give a good helping of WD-40. It worked great for the first couple weeks until the metal on metal of rotating the "hooks" got sticky. Some WD-40 and now it glides like butter. Bottom line, this requires no mounting, no holes, is held in place by weight of the hot tub, and makes removing and replacing the cover a breeze. Absolutely one of the best hot tub accessories I've ever purchased, hands down.

Overall, lift works well and is easy to assemble. Even includes wrenches so I didn't have to break out the took kit. Hardest part was sliding under the edge of the tub. However, with a lever and fulcrum, you can easily get an inch or two and in it slides. My cover is 7' by 7' and fits easily. The pneumatic lift provides support lowering and raising the lid.
