Mission: Give Knowledge, Give a Voice, Give Hope. Our Vision: CHD families & patients feel equipped, supported, & empowered to advocate for their needs and are confident in the quality of their care. Through social, educational & advocacy events that connect CHD patients & families & distributing educational materials & care packages, the Pediatric Congenital Heart Association of Virginia works directly with patients, families, medical professionals and partner organizations to help Conquer CHD.

Target demographics: 1 in every 100 newborns are born with congenital heart disease, making it the most common birth defect. That means every 15 minutes a new CHD story begins, altering the course of a family’s life in unpredictable ways for a lifetime.

Geographic areas served: At Conquering CHD, we exist to conquer the most common birth defect.

Programs: Through our State Chapters we are able to give knowledge, give a voice and give hope, directly meeting the comprehensive, lifelong needs of patients with congenital heart disease and their families through awareness, knowledge, community, and research programming.
