Mission: CompTIA Spark is a social impact organization that works to unlock people's potential though technology. It aims to bring high quality tech education to youth — whatever their background — making tech exciting, accessible and inclusive, and building skills and confidence for life. Formerly known as Creating IT Futures, CompTIA Spark is a registered 501 (c)(3) nonprofit.
Results: Since 2009, over 34,000 girls have participated in our TechGirlz program.
Target demographics: Middle school students
Direct beneficiaries per year: 8,209 middle school girls in 2021.
Geographic areas served: United States
Programs: TechGirlz, a program that provides tech-centered learning opportunities for girls ages 11-14, and; The CompTIA Spark middle school program which will be delivered through an online learning hub that can be accessed from anywhere, anytime.
