Mission: Communities In Schools Dallas Region (CISDR) was founded in 1985 to address the growing number of high school dropouts in Dallas and surrounding areas. The mission of Communities In Schools of the Dallas Region, Inc. is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
Currently, CISDR operates in 62 schools in 12 school districts in Dallas, Collin, Ellis, and Hunt counties. CISDR's vision is to be recognized as experts in the field of dropout prevention and the leading provider of the highest quality, most effective services to at-risk schoolchildren.
Communities In Schools of the Dallas Region is a 501(c)(3) organization, with an IRS ruling year of 1985, and donations are tax-deductible.
