Sadly, my new Coleman 300m flashlight failed approximately one second after turning it on. In the trash it went, after removing the functioning batteries. This was a repeat purchase. I like the simple off, low, high switch, which is easy to use, even with gloves on. Battery life is decent, at least for my uses. I hope reliability will not be an ongoing issue.

Would definitely buy again. Got this 1 and a half years ago. Use this light about 1/2 hour at night when taking out the dog for his "business". Sometimes twice a night. Still have the original batteries in it. It seems to go dim after awhile, but the next time I use it , it'll brighten up .

This 250 Meter Coleman flashlight is the best flashlight that I have ever used. Mine is now over 5 years old and still works perfectly. It has pretty good light beam throw which means it can put a beam of light on something pretty far away. In this case over 750 feet away. It also has a little flood to it at closer range, illuminating things with a wider cast. The flashlight has a battery guard feature which disconnects the batteries when you turn the light off to prevent battery drain. Seems to work pretty well since batteries (it takes 3 AAA batteries) last a long time. The first set of 3 AAA energizer batteries I put in them were still working when I decided to replace them after 3 years. The second set are still in the flashlight now. Instead of having the on/off power switch on the back/bottom like many flashlights, it has a switch that you push forward on top close to the front of the light. This makes it very ergonmically comfortable in hand to operate. The first setting is a dim 10 lumens and the second is a bright and blinding 350 lumens. Both have good throw as mentioned. The flashlight has a nice weight to it and is well made and robust. You can stand it on the top or bottom. My only wish is that it had a little hole on the bottom that you could use to easily attach a lanyard to it so this way you could hang it. Nothing is perfect. Overall though, this is a great practical bright flashlight with good throw and excellent AAA battery life with a price that can't be beat.

Excellent Coleman flashlight. Yes, they are rather expensive, but it's a quality flashlight. Reliable flashlights during a power outage. I like to keep several around the house for emergencies. It's like insurance. You don't need it until you need it. Then you're outta luck of you don't have it.

The battery holder in the flashlight was marked incorrectly. After noticing the problem - I corrected the installation and it worked perfectly. I will not be sending it back as I notified you earlier in the week.

This flashlight is very bright on its highest setting, and it also has a lower setting if desired. It is easy to handle, no problems.

This flashlight looks like it's entirely madder of plastic which is why I always skipped over it. But it's not. It's metal with some plastic parts. It's actually fairly sturdy. The AAA version is quite slim and provides a decent beam throw. It's a cool tint for sure and it's not going to win any awards, but for the price and simplicity of a UI with just high and low coupled with the fairly decent toughness, it's worthy of sticking in a drawer with Eneloop rechargeables as an emergency or back up light. This light actually led me to purchase the AA version which is also decent. Good basic old fashioned flashlight with decent LED light.

Pair this with HW brand Rechargeable Lithium Batteries (ASIN B0C6XHX5SZ) and you have a winning combination. The only caveat is the Lithium batteries might get warm at high beam after a long period.

I got 1 for myself, 2 more for family members. The first 2 were perfect, the 3rd one I Got was almost perfect, not a big problem with it just the switch was not as easily switched on, and sometimes going from off to low it turns on and goes off till the switch is back in place Fully into first click ' low position ' ... Basically the switch was more clunky than the first too, almost like off track and harder to switch/turn on. The high option does work too so no worries. Thanks and try these out they're great, good beam in the dark outside, on high mode.I Got all 300m, based off the other reviewers recommendation and because it uses AA / Double A.Good luck.

This little thing is small enough for my hands to handle easily yet it puts out as much light as the big flashlight I used for years.

Leaking "Not for resale" batteries leaked and I had to destroy the flashlight to get them out.Terrible idea to include these batteries.
