This is probably too good of a case to use for just a set of metric sockets. Not that they wont fit, you can fit both standard size and the deep sockets in this case easily. You could probably also have room for a SAE set of both standard and deep sockets. The foam insert has room for at least that much on the bottom, probably an extra 2 inches that is just taken up with foam. Flip it over, make some cuts and now you can carry ALL your sockets. However, that extra two inches of depth that is not needed makes it so it doesn't fit in the standard size drawers in my roll away tool box. It will need to be in the deep drawers or on a shelf and not with the rest of the sockets. Like I said, probably too good for just sockets.
