They are what we are looking for size and shape wise. BUT beware they came green tinted. Not what you see in the picture. Not sure how we will resolve this.

I ordered two of these to be used as nightstands in my guestroom. I am very pleased with their quality, size, and stability. I found the instructions for assembling these nightstands to be clear and easy to do, even though I am not a woodworker. Take your time, notice the labeling on each piece and direction things should go, and you will be able to handle it too. It took me about an hour and a half to assemble one. I did end up purchasing custom glass tops to protect the finish.

I purchased two Carlton nightstands in light golden brown color. They look similar to the images on the webpage except the color is darker and the wood has more knots than shown. My main complaint is the chemical smell. It was very apparent when I opened the box but I thought it would dissipate after assembly. As I installed the last piece, I noticed a sticker saying the nightstands contain products known to the State of California to cause cancer so I inquired with Simplihome. They were very helpful and explained that the nightstands include lead, formaldehyde and phthalate but in quantities below EPA standards. Still, three months later, the nightstands have a chemical smell that is noticeable upon entering the room.

Decent quality, very classic design; solid and attractive.

This is the second used like new Simpihome end table we bought in distressed gray. The first one was like new. The second one required me to repair a broken (split in 2) drawer side. Yes I could have probably gotten a new piece but I enjoyed drilling and gluing same. A small wood trim piece needed gluing also. Very nice quality pieces.
