Mission: Caring for Cambodia (CFC) is educating a generation of Cambodian children today to make a difference for Cambodia’s tomorrow.  Our schools are safe, modern and technologically equipped.  We train teachers, provide tools, and remove barriers to learning.  We build Cambodian leadership to guide and sustain these schools, so that generations of CFC graduates can reach their highest potential and make valuable contributions to their community.

Results: - CFC graduates maintain 80% pass rate on national exam, 20% higher than country average- High school drop out rate of 7% compared with 20% nationally- 100% of CFC graduates go on to work, train or study- Gender equity schools that are 50% male, 50% female- Increased English language ability- Healthier student body; reduced chronic malnutrition through meal program- Provided scholarships for 100 CFC teachers to earn their bachelors degrees

Direct beneficiaries per year: 6800 students, 200 teachers and thousands of families across our five school communities.

Programs: Food for Thought: Provides students two nutritious meals a day because hungry children cannot learn. Health Education: Educates on basics from oral hygiene to hand-washing proving that small changes make a big difference. Career Preparation: Prepares CFC students for life beyond school so they become productive community members. Early Learning: Guides mothers and prepares young children with lessons in literacy, numeracy, hygiene, nutrition, and child development. Teacher Training: Transforms our teachers into change agents with sustainable and replicable training methods. CFC provides these programs and more, including Gender Equity and Information and Communications Technology. Our main focus is the classroom where CFC teachers implement Cambodia's national curriculum using international best practices, such as student-centered learning.
