Take this on camping trips and cook anything bread and some meats and have come out great. The only flaw is the thermometer id not accurate and had to place an aftermarket oven one in to see the true temp

Our Boy Scout troop has an annual Scoutsgiving, and we weren't able to use fire or briquets this year because of the fire restrictions. I purchased one of these Coleman ovens on ebay a couple years ago (I wanted one made in the USA, and I found one on ebay from the 1960s that was in new condition.) We were able to bake an apple pie, pumpkin pie, and turkey breast with enough food to feed 10 people and plenty of leftovers. For the pies, remember to raise the rack inside the oven so the heat from the top of the oven cooks the top of the pie nicely. For turkey and stuffing, you'll need to lower the rack to fit the whole turkey breast in the oven. Pumpkin pie took about 1.5 hours, apple pie took about 45 minutes, and turkey breast took about 2.5 hours. Thank you Coleman! Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Pros: Lightweight, easy to use (simple packing/unpacking, cleaning), works well with standard baking recipes provided you monitor temperatures. Cons: Included thermometer is useless, it's off by more than 100 degrees when compared to any other digital probe thermometer. Only comes with one shelf, would be nice to have two or the option to buy parts from Coleman. Hard to get to temperature if there is any breeze/wind unless you insulate with silicone sheets (as pictured) or custom welders blanket. Although lightweight, the oven can be easily bent/dinged. This is a solid camping oven when it can be had for around $40. Must-have upgrades include a digital probe thermometer, something to stabilize temperatures (steel square, fire bricks, cast iron pan, or fire stone placed in lowest level inside oven to dispurse/retain heat), and an outer insulating layer to protect from wind (silicone sheets cut to fit, or ideally a form-fitted welders blanket).

I purchased this oven in 2021 for emergencies. Used it for the first time during hurricane.Beryl. I made biscuits in it and they came out perfect. Easy to assemble and use.

This is a great little oven. Once I figured out the flame height for various temperature this oven maintained that temperature.

This little thing is okay, not great. Will heat stuff up, not accurate on the thermometer. Trying to collapse it is fun (as in, not fun at all) and is guaranteed to take some skin or blood with it. All the moving components are stiff and screech, the door is rough to close, the worse part I'd say is the 2 levers you need to open to collapse the unit, then it's so tight to fold down the front and back that you need to push it hard and then every part of this thing is sharp as a knife so that combo makes it super enjoyable when your knuckle or finger or hand gets sliced / chipped / skinned in the middle of the woods. Maybe for $10 or $15 I'd be more forgiving but for the price I'd say get a cast iron with a lid and it'll do just about the same job since the thermometer on this thing is just decor.

In my opinion, Coleman has been on a long downhill slide in their production quality for decades now and this is the example. Yeah, it's not expensive. But it doesn't work very well, in particular it is rather difficult to regulate the temperature. As for quality, the first one I received had wires on its internal rack that had not been properly welded to their frame. That one went back and the replacement wasn't much better. But I suppose burnt corn muffins are better than none? I replaced it with the stainless steel folding oven from Winnerwell and we find that one to be quite satisfactory.

Really does a nice job baking whatever you bake n it only requires one gas stove burner. I prefer it to my regular oven now.

It's a knock down lay flat oven that mostly works- while it heats up fast, the temp. gauge on the front door is useless (off by at least 150 as measured with a calibrated tool), opening the door blows off a huuuuuuuuuuuuuge amount of heat and you really can't see what's going on inside to gauge the baking process. Makes operating a bit more of "hands on" process than it should be. modifying mine with a small Borosilicate Glass Disc (held in with food safe silicon RTV sealant, both easy to find on McMaster) in place of the useless temp gauge and a food thermometer in the top so I can get better control over it during use.
