I bought this cable to use with a guitar with a guitar headphone amp as a preamp with effects for a guitar amp. The first thing I noticed about it was that the coating or insulation is rubbery and not plasticy and that's really nice. It's not stiff at all but it seems strong. The second thing I noticed is when I plugged it in and used it for the first time there was no hum or buzzing which is what I needed. I went ahead and rated this cable as 5 stars including durability because I didn't want to lower the rating just because I haven't used it for a long time. I needed something cheap and as soon as possible and this cable exceeded my expectations so 5 stars all the way. I was concerned that it didn't have metal coverings on the connectors on the ends but those cost more and since this cable is cheap and seems sturdy enough that's fine. I don't know how it would hold up playing live while moving around and everything but I would feel okay doing that with it. I'm just using it at home for practice and for that is great. I would recommend everyone to buy this cable, even people who don't need it. I'm going to start making fun of people who don't buy this cable. It's that good (so far).
