I got a check engine light and checked the code. Said the problem was with the vacuum canister solenoid. That is part of the system that purges gasoline fumes from your gas tank. This is the second vehicle I have fixed with a new gas cap. This gas cap fit my 2000 Mazda B3000 truck perfectly and saved me a lot of needless work under the truck.

This was 1/3 the price that it was at local auto parts store. Most local stores didn’t have in stock, got this over night. Got it for 2001 ford escape xls. Snug fit, haven’t driven around with it yet so nothing to report on that.
