I purchased these gate mounts for a concrete wall, where I couldn't use conventional screw in mounts. They work perfectly and the gate is easy to open and close.

Mounted in on a 4x4 steel post . Used self tapping screws with washers. Definitely worth the money I spent.

These seem to be well made. Mounting holes are about .480 diameter so you will need to open them up to use a 1/2 inch fastener. Also the 1.5 inch dimension from the plate face is actually 2.0 inch to the center of the pin.
