Direct beneficiaries per year: 6,000 animals through adoption, transport, and Neighborcorps projects to keep pets in their homes.
Geographic areas served: Founded in Asheville, NC, we serve Buncombe County and additionally operate chapters across the Southeast to spread our lifesaving programs to underserved communities.
Programs: adoption; foster care; crisis support (our Keep Me Safe program helps victims of domestic abuse start new lives by caring for their animals during transition); Northern transport; community cat care/TNR; Neighborcorps (to help keep pets in their homes and out of the shelter system), animal welfare advocacy; and farm animal rescue.
