Mission: Our mission is to serve other by helping to instill values in young people and, in other ways, to prepare them to make ethical choice during their lifetime in achieving their full potential.

We provide support services to unit sponsors for organizational training, camp and special events for the development of youth through Scouting. The Cherokee Area Council serves over 5,000 youth members and 1,300 volunteer adult leaders each year.

Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation's largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.

Boy Scouts of America, Cherokee Area Council is a 501(c)(3) organization, with an IRS ruling year of 1965, and donations may or may not be tax-deductible.
