As for the grounding tab issue, I just broke it off the old motor and soldered it to the new one.

An inexpensive part kept my expensive carpet cleaner from pumping water. I had nothing to lose by trying to fix it myself. The first pump I bought didn't have the right housing so make sure that matches when you purchase. That was my fault. Once I got the correct one I put it in and walla! Works like brand new.

This seems to be the weak link of the Bissell Little Green. It's now my second replacement pump. It's still cheaper than replacing the whole machine.

The motor/pump mounting was slightly different than the original but still fit fine. As was posted by another, the ground wire tab is wider than the original. Rather than cutting the wire and making an adapter I cut the tab to the same width as the original and slid on the connector. Yes, it's well worth the time and money to replace the pump than to buy a new unit and just keep track of all the parts and hardware.

The exact pump I needed! (Or not) found out I didn't need a new pump but installed it anyway to refresh my machine a little! Works exactly as it should!

I'm not a handy person, but I was able to fix my Little Green Bissel by replacing pump. The sprayer stopped working - instead of getting new machine I trouble shooted the issue, and am happy I did.
