Mission: Our Mission is to Rescue, Rehabilitate and Educate until every dog has a loving and safe place to call home. We believe we can, and we will see an end to dog homelessness and abuse through legislative efforts, hard work and strategic partnerships near and far. We will never give up and we will never back down from the needs of all heartbeats because every life matters.
Results: Since our founding in 2008, we have saved the lives of nearly 50,000 dogs.
Target demographics: Save the lives of as many dogs as possible through education, sterilization, and legislation with the goal of ending dog homelessness while also helping people know the love of a dog.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Over 4,000 dogs lives were saved at Big Dog Ranch Rescue in 2021.We facilitated the rescue of thousands of others through disaster recovery efforts and partnerships and reached over 135,000 through social media
Geographic areas served: South Florida, Palm Beach County, Broward & Martin Counties. Provide disaster recovery assistance in the southeast region to Puerto Rico and the Bahamas, as well as across the world from the China Meat Trade.
Programs: Hurricane and Disaster relief, Asian Dog Meat Trade Rescue, programs to train rescue dogs as companion dogs for veterans suffering with PTSD, a Seniors for Seniors program to enable more senior citizens to adopt or visit with dogs, and Big Dog Ranch University for puppy and adult dog training.
