Beston RT001A Ribbon Tweeter 6 Ohm
A ribbon tweeter's radiating surface approaches the theoretical ideal of a zero-mass audio source. The articulation, attack, and sonic transparency are quite impressive, and the diaphragm's monolithic shape and orientation provide a broad horizontal and tightly controlled dispersion characteristic, which is ideal for many listening environments. Beston's carefully sculpted waveguide faceplate further improves the tweeter's linear emission of smooth, extended high frequencies. The RT001A is perfect for compact 2-way and 3- or 4-way designs, as well as for use in multiples when incorporated into line arrays. A third order (18 dB/octave) or higher crossover is recommended to achieve maximum power handling. Minimum recommended crossover frequency: 3,500 Hz.

For the price, I was a bit skeptical, but I wanted to try some properly high-end tweeters for once. I have a full AMT setup for my home theater (front LR, rear LR, and center channel) as well as AMT tweeters in my car, all Dayton Audio AMTs. These compared to those are...fine. I certainly cant justify the cost, but I also dont have a $xxxx receiver/amp to power these so that could be a factor, but my Denon receiver is still pretty solid. These just dont really give me anything Im not noticing in the Dayton's, and they are more of a hassle to run since they are DEDICATED tweeters without a mid driver, so you need dedicated channels for them or a passive/active crossover to split a channel. I would say...if you have the money for a REALLY high end setup, these might be what you're looking for. I 10000000 recommend AMTs, no doubt. Im just struggling to see the merit of these over my "cheap" Daytons. I got all 5 speakers for less than half what this pair of tweeters goes for..

I had heard mixed reviews about Super Tweeters on Youtube, so I decided to try a pair for myself. My initial thought is that they do bring out the music a bit more and are not extra bright which I was fearing from them. Actually they do not add this over bearing degree of highs to your music, they actually blend right in with my Polk Audio speakers and are a perfect marriage. They are probably not for everyone, just like subwoofers, The good thing is that you can try them for 30 days and decide. I am happy to keep my pair.

Considering the somewhat low price for the additional fidelity they extend (the elac super tweeters are $2600!!!), they're not a bad investment!

Audiophile Super tweets ,yes.Setting on top of Wharfedale Linton's , being pushed w/ 35 watt all tube Primaluna Prologue Premium integrated. Vinyl only , 2 channel.The Linton's are glorious by themselves, and on some recordings I just switch them off. On a scratchy recording , the ribbon tweets will make the pops stand out , but that is inevitable. My vinyl is always cleaned cared for , and on a good recording , these Aperion true ribbons add another dimension to your music .Are they too expensive? That's up to you your wallet. But I believe hearing is believing .I have the Planar Magnetics too. Started my tweeter journey with them , and I would say most people would be happy with them , but I just had to get the true ribbons.
