I wear a size 11 boot, and tried a 10-1/2 per the mfg's recommendation. They still fit a 1/2 size too large, so for my size, I needed to go one full size lower. Other than that, the boots are very well built, the choice and style of leather synthetic design is great, and the toe box is larger than most military style boots. However, they are not as large as say Keen's hiking boots if you know what I mean. They are just right. Breaking in will take about 10 miles of rucking or hiking and with what socks are best. I wear a medium weight merino wool variant.

Definitely a very comfortable boot, they feel like wearing an everyday Work boot which I am accustomed to wearing on a daily basis. Perfect for range day, ruck marching or just for your average duty day

Sizing note - these run big and narrow I think. My husband normally wears a size 11 regular or medium width, but with Belleville he wears a 10 Wide. If you have to guess, order to 1 size down from your usual size, and if you don't specifically have narrow feet, order wide width. My husband loves these. He had an old pair that we bought at Ranger Joe's outside Ft Benning back in 2011 when he was active duty. After the uniform changed and he joined the Reserve, those became his everyday shoes - no joke, he wore them all day, every day for a DECADE, teaching, working outdoors, hiking, camping, etc. - before we started seriously talking about trying to find another pair of Bellevilles. Whatever generic ones he bought for his uniform over the years were complete crap that would fall apart after a year or 2 of weekend drills and field exercises. I think his Bellevilles outlasted 4 or 5 pairs of standard uniform boots. After some hunting on the internet recently I came across these - he says they're just as comfortable as the ones we bought in 2011. Hope they last as long!

The boots are great. Bought them do work on an old home retrofit and they are comfortable and size 11 is accurate. Worth the price!

Look around the internet and you will see many reviews talking about why this boot is great. Only I need a wider boot in order to be comfortable doing what I do. The Wide boot might work for you, but for me it was just a bit not enough.

Both Kagan Dunlap and OnePunchDad recommended these boots as good all-purpose footwear for any situation. After purchasing a pair for myself, I absolutely agree with their assessment. They're comfy, durable, they don't hurt, and they're a lifesaver in Texas weather. Would recommend these for people who want a good all-purpose everyday boot that doesn't look like you work construction (no disrespect to the style or the occupation).

I love these boots. They were my go-to boot in the military for both, the field and garrison. Fast forward several years later, I wanted a pair to wear for work due to the comfort. I was sized at a boot store recently on their fancy machine for a size 9.5 so I went with that size rather than the size I wore years ago(8.5). That was a mistake. I recommend ordering one size down from what you’re used to wearing. Other than the size issue, these boots are awesome once they’re broken in. 100 recommend.

I've got a quarter century in the Military. I wore Belleville for quite a while. I wore something called "magnum technologies" (pictured aside C320) in Iraq, and part of Afghanistan. They don't make this model anymore (in fact I tried one of the new ones, and the liner makes it hot to wear and nearly impossible to get your foot past the tongue). These C320 ONE ZERO boots are the CLOSEST THING. At a $200 price point, I'm discouraged that the quality is so poor. The good; Very light weight, super flexible, and for now feel up to rugged (field) use and you can move quickly with them. There is no liner (good, dries fast) The bad; see the pictures, gaps where the sole is attached, cheap insoles, cheap laces. I doubt these will last as long as my old boots, but should outlast me.

Sizing

All of our boots are available in Men's Regular (R) and Wide (W) Widths, with some styles offering Narrow (N) and Extra Wide (XW) widths as well. Since sizes & widths vary among boot styles, please check individual boot styles for available sizes & widths.

Unfortunately, not all boot brands fit the same. For this reason, we would like to offer a few sizing tips that will help you get a better BELLEVILLE fit:

  • CHECK YOUR SIZE:Belleville boots are about 1 to 1½ full sizes larger in fit than your normal shoe size when measuring on a standard Brannock shoe device. The difference depends on the type of boot you choose: soft toe versus safety toe, hot weather versus insulated or waterproof, etc.

  • SIZING RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE MINI-MiL (TR101, TR102, TR103) MINIMALIST BOOTS:Due to the wider shape of the toe box, we have found that the MINI-MiL® tends to run on the small/short side. For this reason, we recommend customers order a half size up from your normal shoe size. For instance, if you wear a size 10, then we would recommend you order a 10.5 in the MINI-MiL®.

  • GET SOME BOOT SOCKS:Try on the boots with a pair of boot socks that you will normally wear with the boots.

  • PLACE & LACE:It is important that your foot is properly placed inside the boots when selecting a size. Proper foot placement requires that the lace is drawn snug at the bottom of the lacing system. This will prevent your foot from sliding forward too far and keep your heel properly placed against the back of the boot. To improve the fit of the boot, try loosening or tightening the laces at different parts of the boot until you get the perfect fit.

  • CHECK THE LENGTH:Length-wise, when your heel is placed against the back of the boot, you should have a slight amount of room in the front of the boots to wiggle your toes.

  • CHECK THE WIDTH:Width-wise, your boots should feel a little snug, but not tight.

  • TAKE A STROLL:Walk around to see how the boots feel. Make sure your heel stays in place and not sliding up and down (this can cause blisters).

WOMEN'S SIZES

Belleville does offer many boot styles that are specifically manufactured for women. All Belleville style numbers that begin with an "F" indicate a boot specifically designed and sized for women. If a particular style of boot is not available in women's sizes, we recommend ordering the boot 2 full sizes smaller.
