This was an easy upgrade for my furnace. The old ignitor is almost twice the size and weight. Hookup is really easy if you have a general understanding of wiring. The old ignitor had 2 black wires and it didn't matter which one went where. On the Beckett you need to put the white wire with white wire. I bought a new Beckett cad cell at the same time(7006U). Make sure if you have an older one that it's the right mount. Mine wasn't so im glad I got the new one.

My old igniter is getting weak, tested with a screw driver and wont spark till the two electrodes get really close like quarter inch apart. Due to the weak igniter, sometimes no flame came out. The new igniter is really powerful, getting spark like a inch away from each other

I Installed it tonight and it works great so far. Hopefully it will keep on going for the rest of my life. . (I am 81 now). IF you don't hear from me, it is still working, OR this old body is not and I am gone.I just about didn't make age 70, so feels good to do something again; and it is working as should. Now, what should I tackle???

Transformer seems to work fine so far. I ordered this item because it said it was a two pack. When it showed up there was only room in the box for one. I wanted the second one as a back up. That's why I paid extra for the set.

More than likely you will need to cut off the spade connectors and use wire nuts to make the connections.

I would replace the old big square one for one of these if you don't have one on your oil furnace Big improvement on start up And get the (( BECKETT Z2000U GAUGE KIT )) there is a video on how to use it worth doing that to stops the boom on start up

People had me worried via reviews that this would be hard to install and I have to worry about getting the wires correct. It's so flipping easy, a cave man can do it. There's only 2 wires, all you need to know is Blue-white goes with orange. It started right up! My old transformer was a big fat 2721-628G and it literally had no spark so I had no heat for a couple days waiting for this part but it was worth it because it was installed in 20 minutes. Easy. I consider this solid state device an upgrade as I often recommend solid state drives for all the people out there with computers.

This igniter was a perfect replacement and solved my furnace problems. Would have cost me hundreds of dollars to have local heat and air company to fix.
