Product Description
Dates are a fantastic natural, raw, sweet treat. Dates are a great source of energy, natural sugars, fibers, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals and phenolic compounds that have powerful antioxidant and antibacterial effects. When turned into a thick, sticky, brown liquid, organic date syrup has been used by many as a natural substitute to sugar, maple syrup or honey.
Although date syrup is nothing new - it has been a popular staple in Middle Eastern kitchens for decades - these days, the West is slowly falling in love with its natural sweet taste, too.
Date syrup is a clean-tasting liquid sweetener produced from organic Medjool dates that are graded from the sorting line as not visually acceptable. The dates are macerated, pits removed, heated in water and concentrated into a thick syrup. The syrup possesses a sweet odor and flavor. No additives, sulfating agents, or artificial flavors are used.
This organic date syrup has a unique flavor profile. Drizzle it on pancakes or French toast. Add a spoonful to a smoothie or your morning oatmeal. It also makes the base for a great chicken marinade.
Price is FOB Moro, Oregon for customers purchasing the 55 gallon size. Customers are responsible for freight charges based on chosen method of delivery from our warehouse to their destination. Receiving customer must have a Forklift, or Dock to unload.
Recommended Storage: Cool, dry, covered storage. This product can be stored in a refrigerator between 38-40˚F. Note: The product does not go bad at the end of its shelf life but can become dark in color.
