Mission: *to reduce animal suffering by providing assistance to abused, homeless, injured, and sick animals. *to actively promote the altering of all pets to reduce overpopulation. *to find loving, dependable, and nurturing forever homes for the animals in our care. *to educate the public by promoting respect for all animals, the ethic of compassion, and the need to be kind and responsible stewards.

Programs: Rescue abused, homeless, injured, or sick animals and provide them with shelter, food, socialization, and veterinary care while efforts are made to find permanent homes for them. Provide adoption services for approximately 100 cats and dogs per year and shelter or foster 40-50 cats and dogs at any given time.

offer financial assistance for spay/neuter procedures to homeless or extremely low-income portland residents, through a partnership with paw (portland animal welfare) team.

offer financial assistance to community members who cannot afford urgent or emergency veterinary care for their pets. Offer funding to other nonprofit animal welfare organizations to assist with medical or behavioral (e. G. , training) needs.
