We have used it to wire several 12volt items. Lights, speakers, and a radio head unit. It's the second roll we have purchased.

Needed to rewire boat trailer, as the original (5 years old) wiring corroded due to saltwater exposure. The original splices were the first to go, but saltwater got wicked into the wire's insulation. Hopefully, the tin coating on the anchor wire will substantially slow any corrosion. In addition, all splices were done using adhesive, heat shrink tubing. Will check back in five years or sooner if the wiring fails.

Never had a problem with Ancor wires in a salty marine environment exposed to sunlight. Cost a little more, but better than having to replace wire every couple years like cheaper wire. Plus, has a very strong and abrasion resistant outer sleeve. I always use Ancor wires on my boat and trailer.
