I bought this one because it exactly matches the broken one except there is a 22 year difference in age and the company has changed hands at least once. The cool thing is that the existing mounting bracket works great.I am giving three points because the mounting holes are not threaded and there is nothing in the description that indicates that or what fastener one might use to mount it. I realized that the mounting holes don't come that way intentionally as when I pulled off the existing regulator (held on with two screws) the unused holes were smooth. Turns out I had a 8-32 tap laying around so I tapped the holes and was on my way with the existing screws. One reviewer recommended using 10 self taping screws and before the project, I purchased a 10-24 tap and 10-24x 1/2" screws. I decided practice on the old regulator and broke the tap. I am not a machinist clearly. I do think 10s would work but it was removing a lot of metal and the walls were getting thinner than I would prefer.I tested the regulator and all is well (much better than the leaky one that didn't want to auto-switch.) The stove seems easier to light and the flame is very consistent. I am going camping in 3 weeks and if something bad happens, I'll update this. I am looking forward to seeing if my refrigerator or catalytic heater work any better. One more thing...I didn't know the regulator was failing as I purchased the camper used 8 years ago and everything seemed to work. I don't know what the service life of these are but it might not be 22 years.

replaced an existing regulator on our RV with this regulator. I had to fabricate a bracket because the existing would not fit. But it was worth the extra effort because this is a better regulator.

Probably overkill on replacement of standard equipment but original one failed and this was almost same cost.

The propane flow with OEM regulator wasn't quite enough. If the furnace was on, the stove burners were weak. With the new regulator, that isn't a problem. It's been working great for seven years, through all sorts of weather down to -8F and up to 100F.As I recall, I used the mounting bracket from the OEM regulator and it worked just fine. I replaced all the hoses from the tanks to the regulator at the same time.

Nash propane has excellent customer service. I had an issue with item and they picked up the phone on my first call and were able to troubleshoot and find a solution.

For winter camping, this is the regulator that you want. Much higher 325,000 btu's vs. a summer time Camco twin tank regulator (210,000 btu's) that cannot keep up with a 30,000 btu furnace propane stove at the same time without a flow / low flame problem. The other Camco problem is how the tank switch lever rotates to the bottom vs. the Marsh Excel rotating over the top. On a few occasions, I found my Camco switch creeping down (gravity?) from a positive tank position towards the center. With the Marsh rotating over the top this is not an issue. In the 20's F both furnace amp; stove have strong flames, which is the whole point.
